About the Role
Job Purpose
This post forms part of the housekeeping team, who provide all the cleaning and laundry services to the hospice during daytime hours at weekends. The job is varied and interesting, and involves regular contact with patients and their families, as well as providing for the needs of the non-patient areas and education centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing cleaning and laundry services to a high standard.
- Completing the allocated schedule each day.
- Working as part of the team and assisting other team members whenever and wherever possible.
- Maintaining housekeeping cover, in conjunction with other members of the team.
- Liaising with members of the nursing team and other staff when appropriate and following agreed procedures.
- Maintaining excellent personal standards of dress and hygiene.
- Working within the policies and procedures of the hospice.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain good working relationships throughout the hospice.
About You:
If you have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
